Great service. Great location. Room functional and comfortable. Minor things - all 4 pillows too flat and a light over the bed wouldn't turn off.

Dear Juliet M., Thank you for your kind words regarding our location and service. I appreciate your feedback on the pillows and the light issue. Your comments are valuable to us as we strive to enhance our guest experience. Kind Regards, James Cunningham (General Manager)

Dont pick the small room without a window if you dont want the lux prison feeling. Very clean, extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Dining downstairs reall good. Only that we didnt realise how small the room was it would have been a better experience.

Dear Rebecca S., Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay. I am pleased to hear that you found the room clean and enjoyed the comfort of the bed and pillows. I appreciate your comments about the small room and would recommend considering our larger room options for future visits to enhance your experience. Kind Regards, James Cunningham (General Manager)

We were pleasantly surprised with how wonderful the rooms were for our stay in Christchurch. It was a short stopover, and we didn't need anything but a bed for the night, but we received much much more.

Dear Michele F., Thank you for your kind words regarding your stay with us. We are delighted to hear that our accommodations exceeded your expectations and provided you with a restful experience during your short stopover. Kind Regards, James Cunningham (General Manager)

The internal double no window room is simply AWFUL. Almost comically AWFUL. I find it hard to believe Accor put their to this room. A giant mirror covers the wall - presumably in an attempt to make the room look larger. The bed has wall on three sides so you need to climb over the other person to get out. The bed is also unusually high so hard to get into unless you are very tall in which case you wouldn’t fit in the bed anyway. There is only a tiny shelf for luggage - thank goodness we only had carryon. The bathroom is a weird curved glass spaceship. It is the smallest double room I’ve ever had the misfortune to stay in over the past 40 years - smaller than budget doubles in Hong Kong, Tokyo, London, Paris and Seoul. It was so awful that we couldn’t face a 2nd night and paid $100 to upgrade to a better room - which was perfectly fine although for the cost we could have done better elsewhere.

Dear John H., Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding your recent stay with us. I sincerely regret that the internal double room did not meet your expectations. Our interior rooms are designed to offer an economical option for travelers, however, I understand that they may not be suitable for everyone. For guests seeking more space and natural light, we recommend our Standard Queen, King, Family, or Premium rooms. I appreciate your feedback about the room layout and amenities, which will be noted for future considerations. I am pleased to hear that your upgraded room was satisfactory, although I understand the value for money is an important factor for our guests. Thank you once again for your valuable input. We always strive to enhance our guest experience and your comments will assist us in this endeavor. Kind Regards, James Cunningham (General Manager)
